The eyewitness account of Christ’s cruel crucifixion
…told by the wooden cross that held Him in place!
Do you know Jesus?

It is an easy question, yet so many find it difficult to answer.
A friend of ours is a huge fan of Larry Bird, the 12-time All-Star power forward basketball player who played for the Boston Celtics and won three consecutive Most Valuable Player awards. He could tell you all of his statistics, his career accomplishments, even his shoe size. He even had a signed basketball, jersey, shoes, and shorts. He knew all about Larry Bird, but…he doesn’t KNOW Larry Bird!
There are a lot of folks who are exactly the same way when it comes to knowing Jesus. They might be able to quote scriptures from the Bible, or attend church services every week. Some will have a religious bumper sticker on their car, while others do lots of good deeds or give generously in the offering plate. But just like our friend who knew all about Larry Bird, they know all about Jesus, but don’t KNOW him. It could be said that they have a head-knowledgeable of Christ Jesus, but they have never experienced a heart-knowledge. They do not know what it’s like to have a personal relationship with Him, or have the assurance of Heaven.
When you read the question, “Do you know Jesus?”, if you have to stop and think about your answer, then there’s a strong chance that the answer is “no”. If you do not know or are unsure if you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then it is our prayer that as you are reading this, God will begin to draw you unto him.
(“No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him” - John 6:44)
Friend, you too can have the assurance that Jesus is your personal friend and that your eternity is secure! (“These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may KNOW that you have eternal life” - 1 John 5:13)
The Bible tells us that we are all sinners by nature. (“For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” - Romans 3:23)
It also says that you can receive eternal life as a free gift! (“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 6:23) Though undeserving, God demonstrated His love for us when He sent His Son to pay the price for our sin! (“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died FOR US.” - Romans 5:8) No matter what you have done, no matter your social status, regardless of your background or education, God LOVES YOU so much he gave his only son so that you no longer have to be lost. (“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” - John 3:16,17)
In order to KNOW Jesus, we must trust and surrender our heart to Jesus as our Lord!
(“For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - Romans 10:10)
You may be thinking that today is not convenient, or “maybe some other time.” But you need to know that this is not an unending or open-ended invitation. You can only come to know Jesus as the holy spirit is drawing you. How do you know that God will be drawing you again before you take your final breath? What guarantee do you have that you will live to see tomorrow or the next day? Friend, we have no guarantee. The only promise we have is eternity. (“God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.” - 1 John 5:11,12)
This much you can know for sure…God loves YOU, and wants to be a part of your life! If you would like to have the assurance of KNOWING Jesus as Lord of your life and have a personal relationship with Him, then all you have to do is sincerely say a simple prayer… (“If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” - Romans 10:9)
“Dear God, I know I am a sinner, and I know my sin deserves to be punished. I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, who died in my place and rose from the grave. I want to turn from my sin and trust Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Savior. Thank you for forgiving my sins and granting me everlasting life. Jesus, come into my heart and be my personal friend! Holy Spirit, teach me and guide me. In Jesus’ name I ask. Amen.” (For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord SHALL be SAVED! - Romans 10:13)
Friend, if you prayed that prayer and meant it, then rejoice! You finally KNOW, without hesitation or second guessing, that you know Jesus, and He is your friend. We want to hear from you so that we can rejoice and celebrate with you! Please take a moment to email us (info@iamthecross.com and share your story. We also have a gift that we want to send to you.
Welcome to the family of God!
